BLOG THE FOURTH

There it is, nestled in among the others, in a post-embryonic state. This is how my brainchild was presented to the multitudes at this past weekend's San Diego Comicon. If you are one of the lucky few to grasp this freshly-printed tome in your sweaty anticipating paws, I envy you. I haven't even got my own copy yet.

BLOG THE THIRD

The Big News: THE SQUIRREL MACHINE is to debut at the San Diego Comicon this week. Those in attendance are urged to buy at least three copies. (One copy for personal use and two others to distribute among friends.) Swing by the Fantagraphics table at booth #1716 to procure your needed nourishment.
Unfortunately, finances prohibit my attendance, but if you print out this picture of me and bring it with you to the event, it will be very much like buying the book from me personally.

BLOG THE SECOND

Writing this thing seems almost preposterous to me. I have very little to comment about THE SQUIRREL MACHINE book. In my mind, it is complete and waiting to be read. Nonetheless, I will attempt to extract something from the mists to tantalize...
My ally and sometimes co-conspirator, E. Stephen Frederick (the curator of the famed Empire S.N.A.F.U. Restoration Project) was kind enough to provide (unsolicited) a foreword for the book. In it, he suggests that the book is a direct memoir of our own formative years growing up in rural Massachusetts. Don't ask me if it's true. I wasn't really paying attention at the time. However, from the archives of the S.N.A.F.U. Research Purgatory, evidence of the first ancestor to the SQUIRREL MACHINE has been unearthed :


I am uncertain of the date of its creation. I had first seen it possibly when I was 16 or 17. No doubt, this enigmatic device left an indentation on my psyche. the results of which will be in bookstores this October. Please coerce you local bookseller and gimcrack dealer to stock multiple copies!

BLOG THE FIRST

I'm alien to these blogging things, so patience with my doddering is recommended. I am a better cartoonist than I am a writer, so you can imagine the maloquacious depths this feature will descend.
This blog was started upon the urgings of helpful friends who felt this an ideal forum to promote the upcoming graphic novel THE SQUIRREL MACHINE. It is a 192 page comic book entirely written and drawn by myself. I suspect it is autobiographical; but don't ask me because I haven't really read it yet. I suggest that you can find out more at this informative website: www.squirrelmachine.org
The book is scheduled for release October 27 by the fine folks of Fantagraphics. That means there are twelve weeks to go until then. I shall endeavor to post one blog each week until that momentous occasion.
